Hi,

There are many ways of understanding what Dr. Chu saied.

But first of all, this would mean that there will be no real price drop as i can buy a single custom made battery from China at 300$/kWh today and I started in 2007 then it was not that much more expensive. And I'm not even talking about the price for larger industrial size orders. So I would say that the industry could sell batteries at this promised price today, but it is something in the western economic structure that produces a 600% margin on the price.

So my most pessimistic reading of Dr. Chu would be that by 2020 the US economy will be at a point like China in 2008. Meaning that the average consumer will be as poor as the average Chinese then and can only aford an electric vehicle and at that price.

Your lead idea, reducing the cost of batteries is important, but I think not the most important. The most important factor to choosing an electric powered vehicle is your climate. If you live in an area with months of below 0degC (32degF) temperatures, battery range will be halfed when you need to defrost a windshield or heat the interior. Until energy density improves by an order of magnitude, the electric car will remain a viable option only in temperate climates.

If the price you get is right.....graduates from DNF College learned you must sell ASAP. So it all depends on how much you want for the name and who is buying it/for what purpose.
1.Get as much info as you can from the buyer.
2.Prefer End Users to Domainers/Flippers.
3.Rather wait for the right buyer than leave money on the table.
4.If not sure get a DN consultant/broker

Hi
Congratulations for your site.
Just a short question to you based on your experience and knowledge: i own the domain batteryvehicles.com and also some EV domais like EVproviders.com. Do you think it would be more appropriate if i try to sell it furtherly (well, can´t wait for 2017), or must i try to sell it just now when the interest for EVs and EVs chargers tend to grow?

Thanks and regards
Carlos
